Frank LaPrade, Chief Enterprise Services Officer and Chief of Staff to the CEO, Capital One Financial Corporation

Frank G. LaPrade is a member of Capital One’s Executive Committee and serves as the company’s Chief Enterprise Services Officer and Chief of Staff to the CEO.

Capital One is a Fortune 500 financial services company headquartered in McLean, Virginia. Capital One, one of the nation’s top ten banks, offers a broad spectrum of financial products and services in the United States, Canada and the UK, including being one of America’s largest depository institutions, credit card issuers and auto finance providers.

Mr. LaPrade’s responsibilities as Chief Enterprise Services Officer include the management of Technology, Digital, Capital One Growth Ventures, Brand Marketing, Workplace Solutions and Enterprise Supplier Management. In his capacity as Chief of Staff to the CEO, Mr. LaPrade is a senior advisor to the CEO and performs a wide variety of operational duties across the enterprise.

Prior to his current role, Mr. LaPrade served as the company’s Deputy General Counsel responsible for managing the company’s litigation, employment, intellectual property and transactional practice areas.

Mr. LaPrade joined Capital One in January of 1996, approximately one year after Capital One became a public company, from McGuire Woods, a national law firm headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, where he was a commercial and intellectual property litigator.

During his tenure at Capital One, Mr. LaPrade has been engaged in numerous philanthropic and community activities on behalf of the company. He is Chairman of Venture Philanthropy Partners, a leading DC-based non-profit that invests in the future of the youth of the Greater Washington region. Mr. LaPrade received his J.D. from theWake Forest University School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review, and a B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Mr. LaPrade is married to Tamara Clarke. They have five children and reside in the District of Columbia.
