Emily Owen comes to Halcyon after working for three years as the founder of the Bibti App, an application focused on increasing access to public transportation for women and gender queer people anywhere, anytime. She graduated Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service in the Spring 2021 cohort with a master’s degree in Global Human Development. Before Georgetown she lived for seven years in the MENA region working in education. When she is not working on Bibti, you can find Emily running the trails of DC or climbing at a local gym.
