Shoko Okamura is an intern with the Residential team at Halcyon, where she supports the daily operations of the programs. Through her work at Halcyon, she aims to learn about accelerators’ strategies for supporting impact-driven startups. As a former exchange student in the U.S., Shoko was inspired to support international students, particularly in navigating their career paths. She is passionate about international education and is currently gaining experience in administering, promoting, and managing globally collaborative exchange programs. Prior to joining Halcyon, Shoko worked at Kyoto University as an administrator in both the Accounting and General Affairs departments, where she managed the allocation of external funds and supported university’s vice presidents. In her free time, she enjoys watching musicals, playing the piano, and exploring new places.
