Program Consultant, Halcyon’s Intensives Accelerator

Reports to: Senior Manager, Halcyon’s Intensives Accelerator

Location: Washington, DC (Virtual)

Status: Contract

Salary Range: $35,000-$40,000 USD (commensurate with experience)

Halcyon is seeking a Colombia-based Program Consultant to help shape and support the design and implementation of our programming for social entrepreneurs—primarily in the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) Climate Fellowship. This role also supports other programs as needed.

Halcyon supports early-stage, impact-driven entrepreneurs working in Climate, Health, and EquityTech. We host both global and domestic fellows and run regional fellowships in Latin America and the Caribbean as well as in Africa. Through tailored training, mentorship, and non-dilutive resources, we’ve helped over 570 fellows launch and scale ventures that have positively impacted millions of lives.

The Program Consultant will work remotely from Colombia and travel as needed to help deliver programming, engage with the regional ecosystem, and support all aspects of Halcyon’s programs in the region. A key part of this role is strengthening our presence across Latin America and the Caribbean by building relationships with investors, mentors, advisors, and ecosystem partners. The role will also provide operational support across Halcyon’s intensive programs.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in collaborative environments, has experience in climate entrepreneurship or supporting startups, and is excited to help entrepreneurs grow their ventures and impact.

What We Need:

 

Intensives Accelerator Program Support: 

  • Lead logistical planning and coordination for LAC Climate Fellowship residencies, including travel, venue, and onsite execution for one-week-long in-person programs.
  • Support planning and preparation for virtual and in-person programming, ensuring smooth execution and positive fellow experience.
  • Act as the key connector for fellows, building strong relationships and providing individualized support throughout the program.
  • Build and maintain networks of investors, mentors, coaches, and partners in Colombia and across the LAC region.
  • Represent Halcyon at local and regional ecosystem events, identifying partnership and visibility opportunities.
  • Support data collection and analysis related to program impact and fellow progress.
  • Assist in cross-program initiatives within the Intensives team.
  • Provide individualized support to current fellows by acting as a connector, confidant, and empathetic ear.
  • Prepare, maintain, and present reports that are necessary to carry out departmental functions, including periodic reports to management as required or requested.
  • Manage and streamline invitations and logistics for Halcyon’s accelerator programs.

 

Program Application and Selection:

  • Contribute to recruiting and selecting LAC Climate fellows and other programs, including application review and scoring.
  • Support finalist interview logistics and help coordinate selection committee activities.
  • Ensure application materials and committee resources are complete and aligned with Halcyon’s process and timeline.

Who You Are:

  • Based in Colombia and fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following (ideally in the climate or impact space):
    • Running or supporting accelerators/incubators
    • Founding or working with a startup
    • Organizing professional training programs or workshops
    • Supporting entrepreneurs through advisory, investment, or coaching roles
  • Comfortable working remotely with a distributed team across time zones.
  • Available for occasional travel across Latin America, the Caribbean, and to Washington, DC.
  • Willing to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Preferably has a strong network in the entrepreneurship and venture capital ecosystem in Colombia and Latin America; global network is a plus.

Schedule and Work Environment

  • Full-time workload (approx. 40 hours/week)
  • Flexible hours with some evenings/weekends as needed
  • Remote work from Colombia, with occasional regional and international travel required
  • Active participation in local ecosystem events is expected
  • One-year consultant contract, with the possibility of renewal for an additional year based on program needs and performance. Performance will be formally reviewed every six months.

Salary and Benefits

 

  • Annual Consultant Pay: $35,000-$40,000 USD per year (commensurate with experience)
