Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Esusu

Samir grew up in an immigrant family from New Delhi, India and witnessed the financial barriers and struggles his family faced as new residents in America. These experiences later inspired Samir and his Co-Founder, Wemimo Abbey, to start Esusu. Samir currently serves on the Board of Directors at MoMA PS1, the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business, and SaverLife. In 2023, he was named to the TIME100 NEXT List and awarded EY Entrepreneur of the Year Nationally. In 2022, he was selected by Goldman Sachs as one of the “100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs.” He received his Bachelor of Science from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
