Ana Uriarte

Ana Uriarte is the Co-Founder of Quark, an EdTech company from Pernambuco, Brazil focused on developing behavioral skills that has already impacted more than 50,000 young people in Brazil by 2025. In 2024, she was one of 20 Brazilians selected by the US State Department for YLAI, a professional immersion program in the United States. She was also awarded by the MIT Innovators Under 35 LATAM program as one of the 35 most innovative young people in Latin America—the only Brazilian named in 2024. Ana is the co-author of the book “Ecosystems of Innovation,” published by Monking, and was a speaker at TEDx Boa Viagem ED, with the theme “The butterfly effect in education.”

Ana works in the innovation ecosystem as one of the leaders of Manguezal, a startup community in Recife, and has represented Pernambuco as an ambassador for several innovation programs and events such as InovAtiva, the startup acceleration program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, CASE, Darwin Startups, ALE Ambev, and Boticário Startups. Ana is also one of the organizers of Mangue.bit, the largest startup conference in the Northeast of Brazil. She has also organized innovation programs such as Startup Weekend and Hackathons, and is a mentor in programs such as InovAtiva Brasil and Conecta Startups.
