
Antoinette Banks
Antoinette Banks is a recognized leader in AI and educational technology, committed to transforming special education through equitable, data-driven solutions. She is the founder of Expert IEP, a platform that uses artificial intelligence to create culturally responsive, personalized IEPs for families and educators. Her work has been recognized by NewSchools Venture Fund, the Yass Prize, Camelback Ventures, and Pharrell Williams’ Black Ambition Prize. A Ford Fellow and Pahara Fellow, Antoinette is currently pursuing a PhD in Learning and Mind Sciences at UC Davis, where she researches computational approaches to learner variability and AI equity. She is the author of ‘Better Than a Diagnosis: A Single Parent’s Guide to Autism’ and a recipient of the Robert J. Glushko Award for Cognitive Science. Inspired by her journey as a single mother to a neurodivergent child, she is reshaping special education for families across the country.
