Gonzalo Yrigoyen Cook
Gonzalo is an administrator from the University of Lima with over 10 years in the EdTech industry and more than 5 years leading projects in cultural, business, and educational transformation consulting. Before co-founding Excuela, Gonzalo was a partner and initial team member of Udocz, an educational platform for university students that has developed the largest student community in LatAM (+3 million users). Gonzalo is a Latitud Fellow (LF10), Young Leaders of the Americas Fellow 2024, and part of the Young Founders Programme of the Westerwelle Foundation. In 2020, he was awarded a full scholarship at Singularity University for the Exponential Inception program for impact entrepreneurs (a scholarship granted to only 20 entrepreneurs from LatAm). Gonzalo also worked as an Innovation Leader at SURA and a Corporate Banking Analyst at BCP. Gonzalo has been recognized by various institutions and has received several relevant awards and recognitions, some of which are: Young Leader of the Americas Fellow 2024 (U.S. Department of State), Latitud Fellow (LF10), First place at IEEE’s Connecting the Unconnected Challenge 2023 (Kuala Lumpur), First place at TecPrize 2024 (Tecnológico de Monterrey), Winner of the Young Founders Programme 2024 – Westerwelle Foundation (Germany), First place at Conectarse para Crecer 2023 (BID, CAF, Internet para Todos), and Winner of the Iberoamerican Abu Dhabi Challenge (Abu Dhabi, UAE).
