Sian Cuffy-Young

Mrs. Sian Cuffy-Young is an award-winning Waste Management Educator, Consultant, and Social Entrepreneur.

Sian inspires her audiences to stand in their true purpose as they create impact-driven businesses, and push past their limitations, as she brings the importance of this valuable resource called waste to the fore. For the past 17 years, Sian has worked in the environmental sector in waste management and mining – two male-dominated sectors most shy away from. In 2015, through that work, she founded a successful social enterprise called Siel Environmental. She has transformed how waste is seen and interacted with by individuals and businesses alike while inspiring others to enter the space.

She holds a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from the University of the West Indies and a Diploma in Environmental Management. She is a published children’s author, a Fullbright Hubert Humphrey fellow from Cornell University, a title holder of the Entrepreneurship World Cup for Trinidad and Tobago, and a SOCAP Fellow.

Her most important roles are wife to a wonderful husband and mom to 3 amazing children.
