Sondos Mleitat
Sondos Mleitat is the co-founder and CEO of Hakini, an online platform that increases accessibility to mental health support in Palestine and the Arab world by applying guidance for self-help intervention through AI and teletherapy. The idea of Hakini came to Sondos during her personal experience of having a lot of challenges and struggles to find psychological support in Ramallah, Palestine, but when she got that support, she saw how therapy was beneficial for her. After this experience, Sondos decided to make therapy support accessible for every person in Palestine and other similar countries, in an easy and user-friendly way. Sondos is a social activist, entrepreneur, and board member at Madarat Center for community development. She led the design thinking process of many projects during her work and study. She worked for more than two years at Reach-Holding for investment and development in different sectors of economies in the Middle East. She has a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from Birzeit University, a certified associate in project management (CAPM), and she has participated in various entrepreneurship programs in Palestine and abroad. Her professional and volunteer experience provided her with important skills and tools that helped her to think about how to manage and solve complex challenges in her society. She’s interested in human rights, mental health, women empowerment, and Arab literature. Her passion for helping emerging communities is what drives her to keep going towards making an impact in her society and around the world.
