
Tanay Tatum-Edwards
Tanay Tatum-Edwards is the founder and CEO of FreeCap, an investment firm leveraging the power of capital markets to reform the criminal justice system. Prior to FreeCap, Tanay worked in business development and marketing at MicroVest Capital Management, where she developed a lifelong commitment to using investment strategies to create systemic local change. She has multiple loved ones impacted by the mass incarceration crisis and is committed to using her expertise to address it.
Tanay is the recipient of multiple fellowships, including Echoing Green and Fulbright. She received an M.A. in law and diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and her B.A. in Africana Studies & Sociology from Vassar College, where she served as student body president.
