Kim Johnson Roberts

Kim Johnson Roberts serves as Halcyon’s Executive Vice President. As Deputy to the Executive Director and CEO, Kim is responsible for strategic planning, driving program and partnership development, and overseeing critical organizational functions. She leads the teams responsible for fundraising and thought leadership. During her time at Halcyon, Kim was honored at the LGBTQ+ Business Awards by the Washington Business Journal and was recognized as a 2023 Bank of America Neighborhood Builders® awardee, receiving leadership training granted by the award.

Prior to Halcyon, she was the Senior Director for Corporate & Foundation Partnerships with Project HOPE, working on the front lines of the world’s health challenges and partnering hand-in-hand with communities, healthcare workers, and public health systems.

Kim founded Bloom Strategies, a development consulting firm with a professional focus on donor cultivation and stewardship in the corporate and non-profit fundraising environment. Their clients included major capital campaigns for Ford’s Theatre and international non-profits, women’s economic empowerment through WeConnect International, international health organizations including Seed Global Health and PATH’s Malaria Vaccine Initiative rollout in Africa. She also led the development team for a high-profile organization founded by Brad Pitt.

Her political work included fundraising campaigns for Senators and United States House of Representatives members. She also worked for the Credit Suisse Americas Public Policy team and managed external relations and political events for C-suite executives.

Kim graduated from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Public Relations and a B.A. in International Relations.
