OtherAI is an impact-driven venture dedicated to transforming educational outcomes and communication access for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) and underserved linguistic communities. Founded on a philosophy of inclusion and guided by the principle that language is a human right, OtherAI develops advanced tools that harness computational linguistics and human-centered design. OtherAI’s core solution, SignaPlay, is an immersive sign language learning application designed to support early language acquisition for DHH children and their families. Additionally, Everysign, an initiative aligned with OtherAI’s mission to eliminate linguistic and cultural barriers, fosters signing ecosystems, promotes Deaf awareness in institutions and organizations, and advocates for equity in education and technology.

OtherAI works closely with Deaf stakeholders and educators to ensure their tools are culturally relevant and community-built, challenging the ableism and audism prevalent in traditional research and tech design.
