Christiana Okere

Christiana Okere is a purpose-driven self-starter with work and life experience in Fintech, Education, and Agribusiness. Her career journey spans both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. In the nonprofit space, she worked on UN-specific projects aimed at rehabilitating and educating victims of armed conflict in Northeast Nigeria. After three impactful and fulfilling years, she was inspired to start Indigi Foods, a food innovation business that transforms under-utilized indigenous grains into nutritious plant-based foods. This venture earned her a place in the TEFxBADEA program for female entrepreneurs and the LEAP4FNSSA program as one of the best 25 businesses dealing with sustainable food systems in Africa. While exploring the tech space in 2020/2021, Christiana co-founded myStash, a venture-backed Fintech company fostering economic prosperity for Africans through financial inclusion. The myStash app enables formal and informal economy workers to allocate a percent of their earnings for savings in dollars. Outside work, Christiana enjoys playing volleyball, mentoring/coaching others, and exploring business opportunities. She is a fellow of the African Presidential Leadership Program (APLP) and the NUTM Scholars Program (NSP).
