Francis Xavier Asiimwe

Francis is a scientific researcher, serial entrepreneur, and health rights advocate. He’s previously been a pharmaceutical biochemist and has also held various agricultural research and extension roles in private and public sectors. He founded Kaaro Health, where he currently serves as CEO. Kaaro Health supports healthcare entrepreneurs to improve health outcomes for poor patients in the Global South. Francis’s guiding mission is to ensure that rural communities are able to access high quality primary healthcare care by making rural healthcare entrepreneurship possible, profitable, and low-risk. Francis has also founded 4 other companies with interests in agriculture, groundwater engineering, and medical crowdfunding. He holds a BSc in Biochemistry and an MSc in Crop Science from the University of California at Riverside and Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda.
