Alexandra Lewis
Alexandra Lewis is a first-generation American and a practicing physician, who possesses a profound understanding of the intricate challenges surrounding health care access for underserved minorities. Her journey began after completing her undergraduate studies at Yale, followed by earning a master’s degree in international health policy and health economics from the London School of Economics. She completed a residency in anesthesiology at Harvard Medical School and a thoracic anesthesia fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. With over a decade of health care experience, she recognized major barriers to cancer care for minority patients, leading her to pursue an MBA at Columbia Business School. Focused on advocacy, she developed a digital platform to enhance recruitment of non-English speaking cancer patients into clinical trials. Her unique perspective, shaped by her background and medical practice, propels her advocacy for improved health care access for underserved minorities.
