Carly Buxton, Ph.D. is the Co-Founder and CEO of Nessle, a digital health platform that connects parents to experts for tailored guidance throughout the journey of parenthood. As a Certified Lactation Counselor and Postpartum Doula, she serves virtual clients across the U.S. and in-person clients in Richmond, VA—the town where she was raised and where she now lives with her family of four. Carly has a background in user experience research and specializes in human behavior, loyalty, and decision-making, all of which were key themes in her 2022 book “Unthinking Collaboration: American Nisei in Transwar Japan” (University of Hawai`i). She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, an M.A. from Harvard University, and a B.A. from the University of Virginia. She has diverse work experience–and many stories to tell! With stints as an international flight attendant, university instructor, and professional singer.
