Dana Fry, a Los Angeles native and Registered Nurse Leader, dedicated her career to healthcare and community service. Raised by a hardworking family of teachers and military veterans, Dana experienced their financial challenges, having lost inherited assets due to a lack of financial literacy. Determined not to repeat those mistakes as a mother of two, including a special needs child, she sought to leave a legacy of financial security without burdening one child to support the other. Dana’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to small business ownership. Later recognizing the pervasive issue of financial illiteracy, she founded Ujamaa Financial. Driven by a commitment to empower black, brown, and first-generation college students, Dana combines her business leadership expertise with a passion for education inherited from her family. Dana aspires to guide individuals toward financial freedom and bridge the wealth gap in underserved communities.
