Ihab Hallab

Ihab is a social entrepreneur with valuable experience working on interdisciplinary projects ranging from business and economic development to technology and public policies. As a good governance activist, he also has a diploma in Municipal Administration and Finance from LAU. Ihab worked as a consultant with SKL International which is affiliated with the Swedish local authorities. In addition, he worked on R&D projects with university students. His passion for public reform, social sciences and technology led him to found and run SmartGov, a result-oriented think-and-do tank that works on government reform and efficiency by leveraging cutting-edge research and catalyzing tech-powered innovations. Ihab is a receptionist of 12 honorary & awards and in 2018 listed as the β€œMost Influential Young Arab Pioneers” award for individuals under 35 who have provided meaningful solutions to the challenges faced by their communities and in the process created a positive impact on society. Ihab has been a speaker at various international conferences such as the World Government Summit in Dubai and the Middle East & Mediterranean Summit in Switzerland. During his career, he contributed to addressing challenges and solutions to shape future governments with the government of UAE and the Government of Lebanon, and the Lugano initiative.
