Mireille Raad

Mireille is a coder who challenges herself to work outside her tech comfort zone. She found ways to use code for storytelling, reproducible research, transportation, healthcare, and understanding economic data and the world around her. Mireille is a committed environmentalist. She believes that we can find better ways to live sustainably, as individuals, businesses and as a society. Plastic film is a hard-to-recycle material that can take a thousand years to decompose. She wants to provide collection services and analytics dashboards that make it possible to recycle it, or better yet, reduce it. As she runs her plastic film recycling startup, Mireille is testing and putting together the pieces of a “Sustainability as a Service” marketplace to seamlessly connect businesses and people with recyclers and transportation. Her end goal is to build the “Uber” of zero-waste services.
