Sam Teicher
Being a diver since childhood, Sam is driven to pursue solutions for protecting ocean health. Prior to Coral Vita, he served as COO of the non-profit ELI Africa. He helped launch a successful UN-funded coral farming project in partnership with the Mauritius Oceanography Institute, and also created a reforestation project recognized with the 2013 Green Africa Awards’ Highly Commendable Award. Sam interned for the White House Council on Environmental Quality Climate Preparedness team, served as a fellow for the Global Island Partnership, and is a member of the 2016 Wild Gift Fellowship. He received his Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, and graduated from the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute’s 2015 Summer Fellowship. Sam is an eternally optimistic DC sports fan, a rugger, and a Search & Rescue scuba diver.
