One man’s plan to fight sexual assault: Have the victims band together.

Halcyon Incubator fellow, Ryan Soscia, shares his story behind the founding of JDoe, an anonymous, digital reporting platform for sexual assault victims that can be accessed through a website. Users cannot see other reports or any names; even engineers at JDoe are unable to learn their names thanks to cutting-edge encryption. These highly secured algorithms match cases — same name of a perpetrator, same address, same building, etc–and alerts the users if they choose. If matches are made, the victims have the option of taking their case to a law firm. Read more in the full Washington Post article and about how Ryan is changing lives as JDoe.
