Human Biomed created a device that helps kidney failure patients to live longer healthier lives via an affordable hemodialysis system. Wearing this device results in lesser cardiovascular attacks thus longer survival. Improving dialysis efficiency and removing toxins at the same time has never been tried. This is because maintaining equal dialysate flow rates upstream and downstream of the hemodialyzer is important to achieve dialysate flow accuracy and regulate patients’ hydration level. However, they have developed new technologies to achieve dialysate flow accuracy despite the use of pulsatile dialysate flow. These technologies remarkably enhanced the removal of mid- to large-sized uremic toxins without increasing the costs of treatment.
